A quick and easy rice recipe to pair with your favorite dinners!

jasmine rice on a white plate

This is your go-to simple, stovetop jasmine rice to pair with your favorite dinner recipes! The ingredients are super basic, and extra nutrients are added to this recipe with the use of some chicken broth. Ditch the store-bought, pre-made rice and start making this instead - it’s so much more flavorful and takes very little time to prep! Hope you enjoy!

RECIPES TO SERVE WITH

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup jasmine rice (rinse well until the water that runs through is clear - this removes excess starch)

  • 1 cup water

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth or chicken bone broth

  • 1/4 tbsp unsalted butter

  • Salt (to taste)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring a small pot to medium heat and melt butter.

  2. Rinse jasmine rice, then add to pan and mix with butter for 2-3 minutes (this will give it a little toast).

  3. Add water and chicken broth, cover pot, and bring heat to high.

  4. Once water comes to a boil, turn the heat to the lowest setting and let the rice steam for about 14 min.

  5. Season with desired amount of salt once finished.

NOTES

  • Store in sealed container in fridge for 3-4 days.

In place of the chicken broth, you can use more water (so 1.5 cups water total). If you do this method, I recommend adding 1 chicken bullion cube to give the rice added flavor.
